Binker is the only person I know of who was working on such a patch, and he did seem to know what he was doing to it was looking good, but I've not seen any reports or announcements of his work for ages now, so I don't know if he's finished the patch yet. And the XBox game, when it was released, was called Conker: Live and Reloaded, Rare dropped the word 'Uncut' from the title since it wasn't uncut.Īs for the un-censoring patch, that needed both graphical/text alteration, and new sound files (because, again, Rare have never released the uncensored data code to the public, so it would have to be created by someone else). I don't think Rare ever said why a game made for a Microsoft console had to be more censored than the same game on a Nintendo system, and if baffled us Conker fans. Rare did, when they announced a new Conker game for the original XBox, back in the early 2000s, say that the game would be called Conker: Live and Uncut, and would include cut content from the original N64 game, but when the XBox game was released, it was actually more censored than the N64 version, and was missing at least one scene from the N64 game (the one with the electric eel). Rare did say that some things were cut from the final game, but as far as I know, they never said specifically what, whether it included whole gameplay scenes, or different cut-scenes, etc. And though that cartridge in the image BLOODY_FATALITY linked to says "uncut", that isn't strictly possible, as for it to be uncut, it would have to include stuff that Rare/Nintendo cut out of the final game, and only Rare would have the cut scenes/graphics/sounds etc, and Rare never give or accidentally release game code to the public.
